Bell X1 - Little Sister
Several new Bell X1 posts this morning got me listening to the older classic tunes they put out a decade ago. Still love these older gems.Played 4 times.

Neo Safari - Get Lucky (Daft Punk Cover)
There have already been several great covers of Daft Punk’s new single (Daughter’s cover was amazing). My buddy Dan (Neo Safari) has pulled together his own version thats already getting heat over at indieshuffle. I LOVE this version - adding in a bunch more guitar is nearly always a good thing in my book. Such a fun song.
Daughter - Amsterdam
This album is just SO good. Happy it finally came out last week in the US - been waiting for it for a long time! I just love her voice.
The Suburbs (Arcade Fire Cover) by Mr Little Jeans
Heard this on Sirius XMU yesterday. May have posted it before. No se. Doesn’t matter, even if I did it’s dope enough to post again. Best listened to with headphones.
Happy Cover Friday
Nice. Good advice on the headphones too..
Chris Whitley - Home is Where You Get Across
I ordered a new resonator guitar last week. It’s going to be a special guitar for me. Not only is it a gift from my wife to celebrate our upcoming 5 year anniversary but its also a National. Its going to take 4 months for me to get it because they are making it specifically for me - how crazy is that? I tried a lot of single cone resonators and none of them felt quite right. Jenny’s boss finally convinced me to try out a National and he was totally right - the sound is out of this world.
So in honor of this, I’m posting my favorite song from my favorite resonator player there ever was. In this song he’s playing a 1931 version of the guitar I just ordered. RIP Chris Whitley.Played 8 times.
YACHT - Second Summer (RAC Mix)
Here’s another brand new remix for one of my favorite bands, YACHT! I’m also always happy to work with the infamous DFA Records. It’s a little different than usual, so I hope you like it.
Swing by Zero Ghost
Heard this in a coffee shop this past weekend up in Boston and had no idea who it was. SoundHounded it (which worked flawlessly, thanks SoundHoud) and here we are. A Zero 7 track from 2008 I had completely missed. Totally digging it now though.
Great song - love the steel drums.

Daughter does a great job of covering Daft Punk’s latest, Get Lucky.
Amazing. Love her voice. Have a feeling I’ll be seeing this posted alot on Friday…
This song is just straight awesome. Even more impressed J Cole produced this himself.
